From the Vault: Spirit JP’s Finals Night Touge

I want to start of by saying that Spirit JP will always hold a place in my heart. Despite the shady actions that, at the time had not yet been talk within the public sphere, you would be hard pressed to find another Drifting venue that could put on this kind of show. This event was special to me as it had been the official mark of one year since I started seriously taking photos at Spirit as my first ever event was a night touge. This would be the venue where I really began meeting the people in the community and develop a huge appreciation for the atmosphere and friendliness that had been created here. Maybe in the future for those who may not know the story of Spirit’s demise by now I may make a post outlining it with even more photos from the multitude of events I attended there. But for now enjoy the photos and memories that were captured at this event.

Not all the shots are in focus and to be honest with the equipment I had I did my best to shoot moving vehicles at night and in turn decided to go a more artsy route with my night shots. I was still fairly new to night photography and even after a year I had so much to learn - I still do even today.
